Technical Questions

What are the system requirements to use the LADRRS Tool?

LADRRS is compatible with the current versions of the browsers Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. LADRRS is not compatible with Safari or Microsoft Edge. For the best resolution of images and font size, please check that your screen size resolution is set to 1200 pixels or higher.

How do I login?

To login, click on the Login/Register button at the top of LADRRS.org which will take you to the Login/Registration page. Enter your username and password in the Existing User Section in order to access the tool.

If you are new to LADRRS, you can complete the New User fields in order to create your LADRRS account and initiate the onboarding process. Once you complete the creation of your LADRRS account, a LADRRS representative will contact you to provide next steps.

How do I get access LADRRS?

In order to get access to LADRRS, a provider/manager/director from your practice/organization must sign the site administrator agreement and send the LADRRS team the list of approved LADRRS Users and site locations for their practice/organization.

Once authorized, medical and dental providers and their staff can access the tool through a secure web-based login/registration module.

Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration options will be available in the future for compatible medical record systems. Please contact us if you are interested in LADRRS integration with your EHR.

Registration Questions

How do I register?

To login, click on the Login/Register button at the top of LADRRS.org which will take you to the Login/Registration module.

You will be required to enter some basic information under the New User section of the page. After clicking the register button, follow the onscreen instructions until you have completed the process.

Why am I being asked for information about my practice?

In order to identify where referrals are coming/going, we must identify practice/provider details to allow information in LADRRS to reflect accurately.

Who in my organization can use this tool?

Site Administrators can approve access for any providers/staff who assist in the dental referral coordination process.

Does everyone in my organization need their own account?

Yes. Providers and their staff must register their own individual account under a unique email address. No two users can share the same email address.

As a dental provider, am I already in the system?

Yes, if you are a Dental provider who provides coverage for any Medi-Cal Dental Plan within LA County, you will already be included within LADRRS; however, in order to ensure the accuracy of your information, the LADRRS team may request additional details from you and your practice upon registering and onboarding onto LADRRS.

How can a dental provider opt out of LADRRS if they do not want to receive referrals?

Please contact us with your full name and organization. Once you have been opted out of LADRRS, you will receive a confirmation email.

I am a community-based provider. Am I eligible for registration?

Please call 1-833-9LADRRS (1-833-952-3777) or contact us. A LADRRS team member will reach out to you to within 1 business day.

What is LADRRS?

The Los Angeles Dental Registry and Referral System (LADRRS) was developed to increase access to preventive services and promote continuous care for children ages 0-20 with Medi-Cal coverage by enabling care coordination and electronic referrals to dentists in Los Angeles County. Learn More >

Who can access LADRRS?

LADRRS can be accessed by dental providers, medical providers, and care management teams in Los Angeles County who serve children (ages 0-20) with Medi-Cal coverage and are interested in addressing their pediatric patients’ oral health care needs. Additional user types, such as social service providers, community-based workers, and school health professionals are being reviewed for inclusion.

Where does the LADRRS data come from?

LADRRS is made up of data provided by: The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), LA County Medi-Cal Dental Plans, the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) and onboarded LADRRS Participants.

Which dental providers are included in the LADRRS database?

All Los Angeles County dental providers that provide Medi-Cal coverage under the following plans are included within LADRRS: Delta Dental FFS, Liberty Dental, Health Net Dental, and Access Dental.

Which insurances are supported?

LADRRS supports all Medi-Cal Dental Plans including: Delta Dental FFS, Liberty Dental, Health Net Dental, and Access Dental.

Where can I access the tool?

LADRRS is only accessible online through LADRRS.org on a laptop or desktop computer. See technical specifications >

Are there dentists in my area to refer to?

LADRRS offers search options to discover dental providers within specific radius parameters in order to find a dentist under your patient’s Medi-Cal dental plan near you.

Is LADRRS compliant with HIPPA standards?

LADRRS strictly follows all HIPPA compliant protocols.

How are referrals delivered?

Referrals are delivered electronically via fax or email. A PDF can be printed and given to the patient.

Who is currently using the LADRRS tool?

Currently LADRRS is only offered to medical and dental providers and their staff, who provide coverage for pediatric patients (ages 0-20) under Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal Dental coverage.

Are there additional resources available for LADRRS?
